Takoyaki shop KYOTAKO Asakusa is since the opening in 1997, we are committed to the original taste, ingredients and recipes. KYOTAKO’s Takoyaki tastes good just as expected, so people of all age from children to the elderly would love it.
Our specially made Big Takoyaki has a great taste and texture! Our octopuses are totally fresh! We use the freshly picked and frozen on-the-spot octopuses, and then defrost, boil them the shop. Usual Takoyaki shops use the defrosted pre-boiled octopuses. We are proud of the fresh texture that you can’t taste any other shops. For dough, we use blended flour of our company secret! As only little oil is used for grilling, our Takoyaki is very soft inside and has thin skin around. It is also not so oily and heavy, so people of all age from children to the elderly would enjoy the texture. Our original sauce is highly recommended as well. You can try the wide selection of our original sauces: normal (sweet), medium-spicy, spicy and ginger soy sauce. KYOTAKO Asakusa is a unique yet well-established Takoyaki shop with the experienced chefs.

The delicious Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba are cooked by the hostess who shows deep love to the Asakusa downtown. The inside restaurant is very clean and cozy. The cooking entertainment on a Teppanyaki plate is full of attractions and offers you plenty of delicious food!
MINORI’s entertainment starts from preparing the ingredients.
Anti-oxidising water, olive oil, vegetables from the contracted farmer in Ibaraki, Kujo-brand leek from Kyoto are used for all the menu. By selecting the ingredients carefully, the friendly hostess will start her Teppanyaki entertainment offering you beautiful and tasty Japanese local food.
All the ingredients are firstly brought to the table. The freshness is guaranteed. For some menu such as Monjayaki, no oil is added and it is seasoned with the special organic sauce. All the menus are cooked neatly while paying full attention to the temperature of the iron plate.
The hostess makes sure that the restaurant is clean and tidy, although many Teppanyaki restaurants tend to be greasy inside. The selected ingredients seem to have the secret for that.
The restaurant offers you best local food, Japanese Sake and Shochu stocked directly from breweries. We aim for the restaurant to be loved by the local as well as many tourists. While having fun with the casual conversation with the hostess, we hope you will enjoy the Teppanyaki menu.
