"warabi-mochi" made from handpicked "warabi powder" is produced in Niigata every morning and is delivered to Asakusa, so the fresh and chewy texture you can taste is truly fresh. Additive-free warabi-mochi has natural sweetness, so strongly recommended to take the first without mixing it. From the second bite, you could enjoy a whole new harmony by mixing with roasted special “kinako” and "kuromitsu" which uses brown sugar with a mild flavor. Give it a try and experience the addictive soft and chewy texture. In addition, at “Kanmidokoro Kamakura”, warabi-mochi drink with matcha and strawberry milk and vanilla ice topping are also available. “Kanmidokoro Kamakura” is a takeout only shop, so it is perfect for walk and eat. Besides, pets are allowed. Dropping off for a walk with your neighbors, buying some souvenirs, this café could be used in wide range. Strongly recommended for those who want to take a grab of sweets and delicacies instantly!
“Kanmidokoro Kamakura” Asakusa Kaminarimon branch The Asakusa Kaminarimon store is located on the left side of the Asakusa Kaminarimon gate, and walking along the Starbuck’s alley that runs parallel to Nakamise, you will see the Asakusa Kaminarimon store on the left. Please stop by before going to Sensoji. You will see the white “noren-shop curtain” which is the landmark of this cafe.
Shop space commitment “We are making a store that is bright and clean and easy for a wide range of generations to enter.” The red circle at the bottom left of the logo is inspired by a Japanese umbrella. Based on that image, the lighting umbrellas are handcrafted by a 160 year old store of Kyowagasa in Kyoto.
Product commitment Although the menus are limited, we are aiming to provide products that will continue to be delicious after ages and something children can enjoy as they grow up.
